Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh Ji Requests Khalsa Panth to Rise Up Against Tyrannical Badal Regime

Sri Amritsar Sahib (SNN) – In a strongly worded appeal to the Sikh Nation, Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh Ji in an open letter has requested the forcefull boycott of all Akali Dal Badal members of legislatures (MLAs), district jathedars, and delegates who recognize and support the supremacy of the traitorous Badal-Majithyia clan that is responsble for undermining the preinciples of ‘Miri-Piri’ and ‘Granth-Panth’.

The Jathedar started his message by quoting the poetic plea of the 18th century Maha Kavi Nihal Singh Ji to Guru Gobind Singh ji:

“ਪੰਥ ਕੀ ਰਖੋ ਤਓ, ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਕੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ ਨਾਥ, ਰਾਖਿਓ ਜੳ ਨਾ ਪੰਥ ਕੀ, ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਕੌਨ ਮਾਨੇਗੋ?”
(Only through Your support of the Panth will the doctrine of the Granth proliferate. If the Panth does not thrive, who will be there to follow the Granth?)

Appealing to the Khalsa Panth to salvage the sacred institutions of Guru-Granth and Guru-Panth, the Jathedar argued that if Sri Akal Takht Sahib’s doctrine of Mira-Piri and Granth-Panth does not remain sovereign and self-governing,  then the Sikh Nation will further become visionless, and powerless and weak-minded.

The Panthic Jathedar reiterated that the concept of Panth is not a mere gathering of individuals, nor the name of the Badal clan or a Parbandhak Committee (SGPC).

He explained: “Panth is the name of an ideology and credo that was formalized in Vaisakhi 1699 by Dasam Patshah when he intiated the rigorous selection process of the ‘Paj Piyaray’ with scrutiny.”

“This is the credo that Dasam Patshah after declaring that ‘ਆਤਮਾ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਵਿੱਚ, ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਪੰਥ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ (My Spirit is within the Granth and by body is represented by the Panth) finalized with the responsibilities of GuruShip onto the ‘Granth-Panth’.”

“It is due to this credo that in Guru Darbar the sacrement of Parshad is first given to these Panch. Today this ideology of Panth and Granth and the Great Baba Budha Ji’s Holy position (Sri Darbar Sahib’s Head Granthi) has been defiled and destroyed by the greedy and morally bankrupt apostate Badal clan and the ignorant granthis.  It is the supreme duty of the Guru roop Khalsa to reconstitute and oversee these pious institutions.”

“Today there is a lack of unity and faith amongst the current Sikh leadership who seem powerless in countering the authoritarian, tyrannical powers of Badal. “But, according to the verses:

 “ਅਬ ਤਉ ਜਰੇ ਮਰੇ ਸਿਧਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਲੀਨੋ ਹਾਥਿ ਸੰਧਉਰਾ”
(Now that you have taken up the challenge of death, let yourself perish, and attain perfection.)

The world understands that only with ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਖੜਗਿ (The Sword of True Wisdom – Naam) in hand fighting in heat of the battlefield be referred to as a ਸੂਰਮਾ (true warrior).”

“Khalsa Ji, I have full confidence that in this Dharm Yudh battle,  Dasam Patsha will grant you victory, and therefore as a lowly sevadar of the Guru,  I appeal to the Guru Khalsa Panth with utmost urgency the following:

(1) That every individual who has used the name of Shiromani Akali Dal to become an MLA, until they are not willing to remove anti-Panthic Parkash Badal from their Akali Dal leadership and install a new pro-Panthic leader, should not be allowed within the boundaries of their own constituency.

(2) Until every Shiromani Akali Dal district jathedar and delegate remove (Parkash) Badal and his intoxicated son Sukhbir from Shiromani Akali Dal’s presidency and install an legitimate Akali Sikh as their president, those individuals should be all be shunned.

(3) Until the greedy Badal family is not removed from their official offices and their grip on Panthic institutions is not removed, until then the granthis who control and occupy Sri Akal Takht’s Panch Pardhani system should be shunned.

“Guru Roop Khalsa Ji, this boycott should remain in force until the gluttonous Badal clan and his hereditary treacherous Majithyia relatives, who have trampled upon Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Royal Garden, are not disfranchised from politically controlling Punjab and the Panth.”

“The Sikh sangat is requested that they hold locally congregations in every town and have Panthic discourses (on these issues) and propagate this under the maryada of langar-pangat.”

The Jathedar ended his letter with a final caution stating that until the institutions of Miri-Piri and Granth-Panth are liberated from the clutches of the Badal regime there will never be true respect and safety for the saroops of Guru Granth Sahib Ji in any circumstances.

The Jathedar was eluding to the long history of desecrations that have taken place in Punjab under the rule of Parkash Badal since 1978 until now, in which countless Saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji have been desecrated by members of various cults from the neo-Nirankaris to the Sirsa Dera followers.  In every instance, the Badal regime has protected the perpetrators and provided them safety and legal protection while Sikhs have been persecuted for protesting the sacrileges.
