Sukhbir Badal Insults Sikh Sangat Who is Protesting Beadbi – Gurdwara Wall Torn for His Entry

MANSA, PUNJAB (SNN) – During a ‘paschtachap smagam’ organized by the SGPC at Gurdwara Sulisar Sahib, Mansa, the junior Badal made disparaging remarks about Sikh protestors.   Fearing his safety, the Deputy CM was covertly brought onto the premises from the backside of the Gurdwara Sahib by tearing part of the Gurdwara Sahib wall connected to Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Public school where he landed via helicopter. The general public was not allowed near the heavily guarded Gurdwara premises.

INSULTING REMARKS REGARDING SIKH SANGAT

While the local Sangat was locked out from the programs and loudly protested outside the heavily cordoned off Gurdwara complex.  Sukhbir,  speaking to the news media, made disparaging and insulting for the hundreds and thousands of Sikh sangat members who have been protesting the desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji with the following comment:   “ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਘਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਉਹ ਬਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਧਰਨਿਆਂ ਤੇ”.

This is a grave insult to not only the entire Sikh community, but also to the two Singhs, Bhai Gurjeet Singh and KrishanBhagwan Singh who lost their lives while protesting the desecration. Ironically, this is the same Sukhbir who has shed crocodile tears for the loss of life and stated he sympathized with the protestors.

GURDWARA HEAD GRANTH RESIGN

It was later reported that Bhai Darshan Singh, Head Granthi of Gurdwara Sulisar Sahib, Mansa, has resigned from his post in protest of what took place at the Gurdwara Sahib.

PARKASH BADAL’S INSULTING REMARKS REGARDING BEADBI INCIDENTS

Not too long ago, the senior Badal also made similar insulting remarks regarding the various incidents of beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.  Parkash Badal had stated that the media reports of the various incidents of beadbi that were occurring throughout Punjab were small trivial occurrences but people are making a big deal out of them.

His exact words were: “ਗੱਲ ਛੋਟੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਲੋਕ ਅਫਵਾਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਡੀ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ”.

Such statements will only hurts the Sikh community’s sentiments as it has already recognized that Badal Government has no vested interest sympathy with the Sikh Panth and in preventing or holding anyone accountable for the desecration.  They should not be surprised why there is so much anger and resentment in the Sikh masses against their family and party.
