Another Akali Dal Badal Adviser Resigns in America

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (SNN) – In yet another embarrassment to the Badal administration, the key media adviser in America for Akali Dal (Badal), Boota Singh Bassi has resigned from his post in protest of the anti-Panthic policies of the Badal regime.

Earlier, Akali Dal Badal?s chief legal adviser in America, Attorney Jaspreet Singh had also relinquished his position in protest of the Badal regime’s handling of the desecration issue in Punjab.  Another Akali Dal Badal representative Daljit Singh Rajpura from Michigan also recently resigned in protest.

Boota Singh, Badal Dal’s American western zone media adviser, is also the publisher of a weekly Punjabi newspaper called “Sanjhi Soch.” He stated that the desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the shooting and killing of the two peaceful protestors, the fabricated charges against innocent individuals, the government’s inability to capture the real perpetrators of the desecrations, and the interference of the SGPC in the affairs of the Panj Piaray triggered his conscious (zameer) and realized that he was supporting adversaries of his Guru and the Sikh Nation.

Boota Singh apologized to the Sikh community for hurting its sentiments because to his support of the Badal regime, and reiterated that for him his Guru and faith is first and foremost.
